Frequently Asked Questions About Renting Cabins
How Do I Arrange Delivery for My Rental Cabin?
- Delivery Method: Our dedicated delivery team transports the rental cabin to your chosen location using our own vehicle. Please ensure unobstructed access with minimum dimensions of 3.9m width and 3.6m height.
- Customer Collection: For safety and insurance reasons, customers are not permitted to collect the rental cabin themselves.
- On-Trailer Structure: Our rental cabins remain on the trailer, providing flexibility and allowing us to bypass certain building/resource consent regulations, similar to a caravan.
- Building Consent Requirements: Our cabins for rent typically do not require building consent if they are under 30 square meters or are mounted on a trailer, adhering to caravan regulations.
What Utilities and Connections Are Available with My Cabin Rental?
- Tow Bar Length: The tow bar measures 1.6m and retracts after use for convenience.
- Water Connection Options: Plumbing includes a water connection provided by our team, or you can opt for self-connection using an alkathene hose to your hose tap.
- Power Connection Details: We supply a 15m power cord and adapter for a 10-amp supply, compatible with standard household sockets.
What Are the Site Requirements for Placing a Rental Cabin?
- Access Clearance Needed: Ensure a minimum clearance of 3.9m through gateways and past overhanging obstacles, with a minimum height clearance of 3.6m.
- Site Conditions for Cabins: A flat or nearly level site, free from overhanging trees, buildings, or utility lines, is essential for the placement of your rental cabin.
- Boundary Placement Guidelines: Ideally, the cabin should be positioned 3m away from the boundary, though permission from neighbors may be needed for closer placement.
- Cabin Dimensions to Consider: Our rental cabins have heights ranging from 2.5m to 3.1m, with interior heights varying from 2.0m to 2.4m.
What Additional Services Are Offered with Cabin Rentals?
- TV Connection Options: A standard TV cable is included; please avoid attaching TV aerials or sky dishes to the cabin and use a nearby fence post instead.
- Phone and Internet Connectivity Solutions: We recommend using a WiFi router for phone and internet connectivity. Your internet service provider can guide you on the best setup.
